My name is Rita Townshend, I am a Justice of the Peace and an appointed New Zealand Marriage Celebrant and it is my privilege, as a Marriage Celebrant, to share with so many couples, one of the most wonderful experiences in your life - your wedding day.
I have many years of experience working with couples living overseas, who are coming to New Zealand to be married. Working with you on the internet, I can send you copies of ceremonies, poems, readings, words for your vows and other ideas to look at. I will explain any legal requirements and help you apply for your NZ Marriage Licence. I will help you create a ceremony that reflects your personalities, desires, dreams and wishes. One that is very special and personal to you. By the time you arrive in New Zealand, we will have prepared together the ceremony of your choice.
I do many weddings around Christchurch, Canterbury and the North Canterbury regions. Weddings at home in your own garden, at Wineries, on the beach, in the park, a helicopter ride to the mountains or wherever you wish. Small weddings or large, formal or casual, or something quite different. I have done them all.
